There are currently 26 Schengen Countries, which include 22 EU countries and four non-EU countries.

Belgium
Czech Republic
Denmark — Restored passport checks & border control as of July 5, 2011, but then lifted them.
Estonia
Finland
France and Monaco
Germany
Greece — At risk of being excluded from Schengen.
Hungary
Iceland
Italy
Latvia
Liechtenstein — As of December 19, 2011
Lithuania
Luxembourg
Malta
Netherlands
Norway**
Poland
Portugal
Slovakia
Slovenia
Spain
Sweden
Switzerland

NON-SCHENGEN?

UK, Ireland, Romania, Bulgaria and Cyprus are the only EU countries which aren’t fully a part of Schengen Area.

Other countries include: Andorra, Leitchenstein (but will probably join later), Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

San Marino, Monaco and Vatican City are also not members of Schengen but there are no monitored borders between these countries and Italy/France.
